Hotline Volunteer

Red Tail Hawk

Hotline volunteers work from home. They work four-hour shifts, checking our hotline for calls. This is the public calling for information or help with injured or orphaned wildlife they have found. Hotline volunteers dispense information, direct people to our rehabilitation facilities, or call in our Rescue and Transport team. This is a great job for busy people who can’t afford the time to come in to Liberty Wildlife, or for people looking for ways to help. You will interact with a great many interesting people in this position, and save some lives as well. Training provided.

Long time Hotline Volunteer Faye Williamson says, “I’ve volunteered all of my life at various causes, but when I found Liberty I found a home. Every call I take is fulfilling and gratifying, as with every call I am either saving the life of an animal or substantially improving the quality of life of the human who called. Every person who calls is in the midst of an emergency and we can alleviate their concerns and make their unique experience something they will remember forever.”
