WWW - and no, we are not talking about the World Wide Web!

The Wishes for Wildlife event is Liberty's annual fund-raiser, raising over 60 percent of the non-profit foundation's annual operating cost. This exciting night certainly included fine wine and women, but the main attraction was the display of native wildlife such as bald and golden eagles, a peregrine falcon, barn owl, great horned owl, black vulture, and who could forget the adorable western screech owl. While attendees were learning more about the organization's mission and its captivating wildlife ambassadors, they were encouraged to participate in coordinating the event and procuring items for the always popular silent and live auctions. One lucky attendee was chosen to release a rehabilitated great horned owl at the site, further showcasing the organization's dedication to rehabilitate with the intent to release injured and orphaned wildlife. To end the evening, Liberty presented a special guest, Lance, the adult male Harris' hawk, who conducted a beautiful free-flight demonstration with his trainers for the group. If you would like to be a part of this incredible endeavor and help support Liberty's mission of "Nurturing the Nature of Arizona through Rehabilitation, Education and Conservation," please contact Liberty Wildlife's Hotline at 480-998-5550.
