AWE Program: Sponsor a Wild Animal

To support conservation in Kenya, Usain Bolt, world-record-holding sprinter, recently adopted a three-month-old orphan cheetah. The cheetah, named Lightning Bolt, will live at a facility in Nairobi, yet Mr. Bolt donated $13,700 to formally adopt the cub. He will also pay $3,000 a year for the ongoing care of little Lightning.

Fascinating story, and even better, Liberty Wildlife has a sponsorship program as well. You can adopt the fastest animal on earth (yep, faster than a cheetah!) for much less than Mr. Bolt paid to adopt his sweet little cub. Amelia the peregrine falcon is beautiful and supremely designed for flight, but unfortunately she won’t fly again due to a badly broken wing. She does go out on many education programs, serving as an ambassador for her species in classrooms around the Valley.

If the fastest of the fast doesn’t appeal to you, we have many other wonderful species that could use some help paying for room and board. Click the link to read about our AWE sponsorship program, and consider promoting conservation in your own backyard.

The complete AWE sponsorship program is presented on our web page at www.libertywildlife.org Click the “How Can I Help?” link to find the AWE program. Or see the copy below for more details:
