Unintended Visitor

By: Greg Martin,
Medical Services Volunteer

There is nothing more fierce, spectacular, and deadly, than the clash between predator and prey. Usually. Sometimes you just see a smaller animal being a pest to a larger one. It’s not at all uncommon for birders to glimpse powerful, majestic hawks, or even eagles, being mercilessly hounded by tiny songbirds that weigh the merest fraction of the great hunters. Yet they will harass them, squawking and dive-bombing, until the much larger raptor retreats in dismay. Score one for the underdog. Click here to read more.
